This single herb tea is an expectorant and demulcent, encouraging the body to expel mucous and creating a soothing coating over sensitive mucous membranes. Wonderful for respiratory health as a tea or mixed in with your favorite smoke.

The common 'Great Mullein' is a medicinal plant readily found in roadsides, meadows and pasture lands and has been used to treat pulmonary problems, inflammatory diseases, asthma, spasmodic coughs, diarrhoea and migraine headaches. Although it has been used medicinally since ancient times, the popularity of common mullein has been increasing commercially for the past few years. The use of common mullein in natural medicine is supported by an increasing number of research studies. Many cultures also mix crushed, dry Mullein leaf with tobacco (other smokeable herbs) to help soothe the lungs.
Break the dried leaves up by crushing in your hand. Use one tablespoon to a mug of hot water. Steep 10-15 minutes. Adding sweeteners will alter the medicinal effects.
