Kick The Habit Coffee Alternative Tisane

Where to start... so many of us are looking for a coffee alternative that not only satisfies our taste requirements but also has positive effects on our bodies! We have experimented with many versions and varieties and have settled on this one. As someone who lives with Crohn's disease, Pete changed from drinking far too much coffee to lovingly sipping a warm mug of 'Kick The habit'! No complaints, just good feels!

Can be prepared as a tea or ground fine and made in an Aeropress or other coffee press.

To prepare as a tisane, use two tablespoons of tea to a mug. Pour over hot water (203F) and let steep five to fifteen minutes.

To prepare in a press, gind fine in a coffee grinder, use hot water (203F) and let 'soak' for five minutes, then press.

Add milk if you choose and honey to sweeten if you need. Enjoy!

Chaga is a powerful immune boost and dandelion, burdock and chicory give a wonderful flavour as well as work to gently cleanse the liver. Chicory is also a prebiotic and acts as a very gentle bowel toner. Cacao husks (skins) are rich in flavonoids, theobromine and traces of caffeine.  Cacao is known to act as an anti-inflammatory, antibactreial, antidiabetic, and antiviral. Theobromine is also know as a mood-booster without the jittery effects of caffeine.
