Fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium) brings new beginnings to wild places throughout the Northern Hemisphere as one of the first plants to grow after a forest fire. It blooms June to August and is an important source of food for many animals, (deer, elk, moose, bear) hummingbirds, and other pollinators. In fact, Fireweed honey is one of the most sought after Honey’s in North America and around the world!
Fermented/oxidized Fireweed leaf tea crafted the traditional Russian way. Powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, stress softening, vitamin packed, and a powerful aid to digestion and balancing gut flora (IBD/Crohn's)! Medicinally used to heal benign prostatic hyperplasia (swollen prostate).
