Cyclopea genistoides (Honey Bush), Cinnamomum zeylanicum bark (Cinnamon), Zingiber officionale root (Ginger), Illicium verum (Star Anise), Elettaria cardamomum seed (Cardamom), Eugenia caryophyllus bud (Clove), Citrus aurantium dulcis peel (Orange), Glycyrrhiza glabra root (Licorice).
All ingredients not grown in Mia's garden are sourced from Canadian distributors and she only buys wild or organically grown herbs and roots.
Honey Bush being the main ingredient in this tea is supported and augmented by the other ingredients in its own medicinal properties. The San and Khoi peoples of South Africa have used Honey Bush for centuries for its medicinal properties, anti-aging, weight loss catalyst, and menopause to mention a few. The flowers smell pungently sweet like honey which gave this herb its name.
This is a wondeful tea blend for the colder months in the Northern Hemisphere as it has warming tendencies as well as immune function boosting properties.
One teaspoon in a tea ball or sieve to a mug. Heat water to 90 celcius/194 F (hotter risks negating the medicinal qualities and efficacies of the ingredients), pour over and let steep for 10-15 min, enjoy!
