Fireweed Flower
Fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium) brings new beginnings to wild places throughout the Northern Hemisphere as one of the first plants to grow after a forest fire. It blooms June to August and is an important source of food for many animals, (deer, elk, moose, bear) hummingbirds, and other pollinators. In fact, Fireweed honey is one of the most sought after Honey’s in North America and around the world! Use to sweeten Ivan Chai or other herbal teas. Wonderful as a soft-skin support and with similar qualities to our Ivan Chai.
Air dried Fireweed flowers (Chamaenerion angustifolium).
